This is a case sometime in 1998/99. The purpose of this story is to help the readers be aware, ask questions and double check whenever possible.
Henry was referred to me in late 1999. The first question he asked, "Which is my house direction?"
Only about year ago, Henry engaged a famous lady fsm to audit his flat. She has even a title for herself in Singapore. Before the renovation, she took the compass reading with the luopan and drew on the floorplan using the flying star system.
Henry's house was facing SE. The advice among the different color scheme's to match, which sector to activate water star, personal elements etc was the instruction to place a fish tank in NW.
Henry said, "I asked her why and she only explained that the wealth water star was there. After she left, I decided to check the house directions as she did. However, I got a few different readings. So I became skeptical of her instructions because I had read some books. Called her but she sound offended and expected me to make another appointment for her follow-up weeks later. Thinking that since she's that famous, no harm trying!"
Henry continued, " Immediately not long after I placed the fish tank, the reno contractor went bust and so went my progressive payments of more than $10k. "
"I continued to have many problems and hiccups along the way until I removed the fish tank."
Henry's case is not uncommon. Such cases happen everyday. Sadly, by trusting a certain fsm, has caused him losses.
(The fact was that under the flying star system, the water star was supposed to be at the SE. That means the lady fsm had made a grave mistake.)
Many fsms take facing directions just because the course/books/teacher master said so. Many are also not familiar with the difficult environmental houses. As a consequence, not taking the right direction even though facing/ sitting met the criterias. This is all because they didn't understand the deeper meaning behind compass readings and house directions.
Therefore, those who seek feng shui consultation should ask questions when in doubt. If don't know what questions to ask, then must call the fsm immediately should any unusual or inauspicious events happened. Do not follow the instructions if the fsm cannot follow-up on you immediately.
Story of Mrs Han
Stepped into Mrs Han EM in about 2007. Told me she consulted a master and bought from him feng shui ornaments amounting to nearly $15000. My eyebrow raised. She went on to show me all the items. One crystal stone at the window corner, one wishing bowl, chain of wrist beads, a statue, jade pendant and etc.
She went on to ask me to audit the house and help her with her diabetes. Those items she bought has not relieve her of the bad health.
Some people spend thousands of dollars thinking such will remedy their health problems. It is wiser when you encounter a fsm who wants to to purchase expensive items, find another master's opinion first. Do not succumb to fear or pressure to part your money on ffeng shui items even though the fsm make lots of media and advertisements.
As I said before, people from other countries of different religion or culture, don't need feng shui items to improve their health. Believe me, it won't help. Do the right remedy to your bazi or house will see improvements.
Story of Ah Seng
Master Chang, thanks a lot, thank you very much, you saved me from a lot of legal troubles.. Those words were ringing like of yesterday.
In 2005, Ah Seng engaged me to audit his terrace. Once step only one step into the front door, already felt something very wrong.
Ah Seng was doing some "kind" of business. He bought the terrace, set up an "foriegn god" altar in his house. Too bad, consulted the wrong fsm and was advised to place the altar at a certain location which is bad.
For those who are religious and put altars at home, it is important not to anyhow place the altar. Not to anyhow invite "gods". It can cause health issues, family disharmony, accidents, legal issues, problems to business etc.
Placing an altar must be looked upon as an important task.
He piled up for himself a few legal matters which caused him restlessness over the weeks before he saw me.
After the relocation of the altar, most of the legal issues were resolved.
Story of the crying kids
A few mothers over the years have seek my help to audit their houses. All complained that after following a lady fsm instructions, their child always wake up in the middle of the night and cried. Some even complained that their kids saw "things" at night or have contunuous nightmares.
For a child's room, its important that the room is checked thoroughly. It is not just about colors and arrangements of bed. A child especially during the first 6 years are very subjective to Qi fluctuations. The foundational bazi elements can be weak or easily reflects in time and space. Needless to say, feng shui items should not be anyhow placed in the kids' room.
Houses and rooms which are more Yin, should also take into consideration.
Story of the Super Rich
His car is more expensive than my house :)
Invited me to audit only one of his many houses. He said, after shifting into this house, his family started to have health problems.
I said, "not only health, wealth also". He stared at me but didn't answer. He kept asking me to recommend him feng shui items to place so that the problem can be remedied immediately.
He kept mentioning who he consulted and what feng shui items he purchased and whether they should be adjusted. Need my opinion if the placements are correct.
After examining, I told him my school of practise and one of the problem is the lift in his house lobby.
