Office Feng Shui

For office feng shui, this is so much different from home feng shui. Many CEOs or Directors always get the wrong advice to place their rooms in a corner or in between rooms. This only serves as a general guide and should not be the ONLY criteria met.

Some bosses never take into consideration of their keymen. This is also a big mistake.

For office feng shui, the main door of the building to the main door of the office, the pathway directions, the door appearance and etc always need to be considered with priority as compared to a house unit in the building. This is the difference between Yin and Yang.

In getting an office, it is first necessary to select a good unit first rather than leasing the office and later seek feng shui remedies. The selection process also need to consider whether its a family owned, sole proprietor or partnership basis. If this process is not thoroughly checked and matched properly, there will be longlasting consequential effects.

Many Bosses concentrated too much over their room item placements. The placement of their key staffs is equally important. Employment of staffs were also usually not properly pre-selected according to business requirements. Do you know why you have a high turnover of staffs? Do you know why your staffs are not performing to the peak? So how do you know you are getting blunt knives to butcher a cow?

Why do partnerships split? Are you having differences with your partners in the way the business operates? Are you seeing eye to eye on how they manage their department? Are the expenses way out of control? The goals which all of you set together have deviated? Were there frequent disagreements during meetings? Is one of your partner boycotting the annual meeting? Is your partner a gambler or womaniser? Are you thinking you are doing more than your partner and its not fair? Do you want to buy over his shares?

Why are your products' quality control low or defective this year? How you been communicating with your purchasing manager? Why was the supplier switched?

Why are advertisements not returning the expected revenues? What kind of ads are out? Are you leaving it only to your creative director only?

Why does the company inadvertently get into trouble with the law? Did you get the right lawyer's advise or you just get any lawyer to draft your contracts?

Why the marketing strategies flop? Did you employ the right marketing manager?

A company by itself also has its own cycle. Have you consulted on it? What advice did you get and what preparation have you installed?

As a Managing Director to the company, are you having a big headache with the poor sales of your product? Or are you getting pressure from your competitors.

So don't just think tilt the glass main door or place some fountains, amytheist or Qi Lin at the main door and consider its done.

Its time to be decisive and set your office feng shui in proper.

If you have gotten an office and had not gone throught the pre-selection process, you need to periodically seek your masters advice for adjustments to changing times.

Office feng shui must also accommodate to changes in Qi, elements with the company as a whole as well as changes within the shareholding elements.

Personal office feng shui is more subjective. Every staff need to be aware of his station and pathway. Placing tiny little Qi Lin on the table to ward off backstabbing always make me laugh. This does not provide the trick to help you ward off the next knife or arrow to your back. You may probably get even more attacks if you put that on your table. The next thing you know is that your colleague's table may have 2 eagles facing your table.

Staffs need to have a more holistic approach to first understand from the master what is wrong with the environment and you. Once rectified, such will subside.

There are times where your hands are tied because its not your office which you can control the environment as you wish. As such, there are alternatives to choose from, although it may not be as effective as the first advice. A smart staff is one which (in a disadvantage environment) first grap every initial opportunity to make your grounds to your advantage.

Being in an environment well suited for the Bosses, a staff must also need to know how to tap into this Qi. Otherwise, losing favor is one thing, being stagnant or working in a miserable environment will be another.

Some of you know jolly well what its like "I don't find trouble with people but still people find troubles with me". Seek early advise to avoid such incidents.

Also, be mindful of the overall performance of the company. If the bosses or the company mostly are not doing well, it will not be fruitful to activate your own Qi.
